Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. She was raised listening to classic Boleros from the past along with classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a fan of tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of theatrical performance. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she began more intensive training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. he was a renowned Mexican opera tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. Her early professional career saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The love she has for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes this can help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
