Christopher Robert Evans, born 13 June 1981, is an American actor. He began his career with roles in television series, such as in Opposite Sex in 2000. He gained recognition for his role as the Human Torch, the Marvel Comics character in Fantastic Four (2007) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2008). Evans was featured in a variety of films based on comics and graphic novels like TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009) and Snowpiercer (2013). As part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he gained more recognition for his role as Steve Rogers/Captain American. The films includes Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2014 as well as Captain America: Civil War. He also made an appearance as Captain America in The Avengers Age of Ultron 2015. Avengers: Infinity War 2018 and Endgame 2019. Because of his Marvel work, he became one of the highest-paid actors in the world.
